About Alex
Alex Valdes is a serial entrepreneur and the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Findevor. His work spans company building, finance, and the practical application of AI.
Before Findevor, Alex was an early executive and Chief Financial Officer at Trust Stamp, helping scale the business from startup through public-market listings. His responsibilities spanned finance, operations, product, and business development.
With CPA and CMA qualifications and public accounting experience, he brings a financial operator's perspective to building technology businesses. His work at Findevor focuses on AI-native workflows where systems, domain expertise, and accountable human review work together.
Work and perspective
Alex writes about the financial and operational choices involved in growing a company, from early fundraising through complex reporting and public-market readiness.
His interviews examine how carriers can use existing systems and data to make better underwriting, portfolio, and capital decisions without handing accountability to automation.
At Findevor, he applies professional accounting and CFO experience to a managed finance service supported by technology, with people responsible for reviewing the work.

Third-party software; historical cleanup; tax filings; payroll execution; bill payment, invoicing, collections, and expense administration; audit, review, or assurance engagements; dedicated fundraising, M&A, or IPO projects; and unusual technical accounting outside the agreed scope. Custom requirements are assessed separately, not automatically included or available.

A note from Alex
I have built and operated finance functions from early-stage companies through public markets. Even today, I outsource recurring finance work because my highest-value job is building the company.
But outsourcing bookkeeping does not always outsource finance. Founders still end up checking the numbers, explaining changes, managing equity, and preparing investor reports.
This book is about owning the financial truth without operating every financial task.
